Last night Me, my mom, Matt, Faye, Peggy, Martin and Janet, all went out for a meal.
We went to a place called The Boot Inn, which is in Flyford Flavel(l) on the edge of Inkberrow.. It was one of those posh, snobby pub places.
Ugh. The food was nice and all, but i felt so uncomfortable being there. those kinda places aren't my cuppa tea. I've sworn never to go to one of those places for a meal ever again. I would go for a family meal at a foreign food restaurant, just not a posh-nosh place.
The whole evening i was bored shitless. The conversation was boring, and i felt really left out. So i just sat there and ate my meal, hardly said a word except to Matt and Faye. Then Janet, being the annoying dick that she is, asked "you enjoying yourself? did u like your meaa" and i was like "no, it's boring, but my meal was nice, just too filling" and then she starts the Spanish inquisition.. "why are u bored? what's wrong? what dont u like.. (blah blah) you never like anything".
She expects me to have a reason and an answer for everything. The only way to get her off my back was to keep turning away from her when she spoke to me.. so basically i shunned her.
We left the restaurant at about 11.15pm and got home for about quarter to midnight. Then everyone went to bed, and i just lay there feeling like shit. I felt so fucking depressed and then even though i tried to stop it from happening, i just started crying and thinking about loads of fucked up shit in my life.
Luckily, now i feel okay, but no doubt that wont be the last of it.
All morning i've been attempting to translate a letter from Poland that my aunty Janet was sent by my granddad's relatives. It's so fucking confusing, i can't believe it.
Most Polish words have very few vowels in them so fuck knows how they pronounce things.
The hardest thing to make out was the handwriting, because it's all in cursive and with the accents and whatnot it's hard to figure out what letters each word contains. So i tried using the > insert, symbol < feature on Word to give the letters the correct accents and then paste it onto a Polish translation website, but no such luck..
Half the words it didn't even recognise, and the ones it managed to translate it rearranged to make a string of foreign bullshit. But then again, i can't blame technology, but i can blame the person who wrote it. They only put one fullstop in the entire letter!
Screw that. Someone else can sort it out, it's not my problem.
The only reason it needs to be translated is because some foreign bloke came over to Janet and Martin's house a few weeks ago and all they knew of him was that his name was Roberto, which my other aunty - Peggy - said "isn't even a Polish name". And that apparently he's a relative of my granddad's.
Considering the letter was received a week or two before he showed up, i'm assuming [the Polish people] had hoped Janet would reply to let them know if he could pop round while he was in England.
Usually Janet gets a Polish woman to help translate the letters but this time she didnt have time to contact her because she'd been busy with work and looking after my granddad. If my granddad wasnt so ill he could probably translate part of it himself, but then again it's been 60-odd years since he lived in Poland.
Maybe next time Janet replies she could ask them to get it typed up in English or even still in Polish, just so it's easier to make out. I mean, even though some of these Polish peeps live in run down areas, they send their kids to school and college and shit, so maybe the kids/teens could type it up for them.
In other news - fuck me i sound like a news reader - Peggy left today. She's probably home by now.
She left here at 10am-ish and her flight was at 12 or 12.30. She was flying from East Midlands airport, which is fuck-knows where. I think Martin said it's near Norwich? IDK.
Her flight would be about 1 and a half hours long, so she'd definately be home by now - it's like 3.30.
Anypoo. I've got some shit-long project to get started on so i best get going..
